CHARLE$ "INTHEZONE" TATE

Virginia Beach-born producer Charles “IntheZone” Tate’s sound is a blend of melodic synths that mix hip hop and R&B with electronic, rock and pop vibes. He believes a strong melody is the first thing a listener remembers about any song, and uses hard drums and transitions to build intrigue into his music.

Influenced by Missy Elliott, the Neptunes, Timbaland and other legendary artists from the native 757 area where he grew up, Zone has always been open to incorporating aspects of different genres into his music.

He first knew he wanted to pursue his passion for producing after watching Just Blaze produce every element of “PSA” before a Jay Z performance of the hit song.

After producing songs such as “Movin On” for Power’s Rotimi and “Your Love Makes Me High Smooth Remix” for Lou$tar while working with up and coming artists, InTheZone is defining a new path for himself as a in an ever changing industry.
